At the YWCA, she provides extensive support to the Executive Director, Board of Directors and eleven committees, and is recognized as a strong and respected leader. In 2012, Andrea created, and now chairs the Young Women’s Advisory Group and mentoring program, YWCA Girl Talk, which pairs young professional women with at-risk teens at a local inner-city high school. Girl Talk helps students build self-esteem, and develop to their full potential. Andrea’s leadership has advanced the programme into its third year. Andrea is passionate and looks forward to blogging about the advancement of women, equal opportunities, women’s empowerment for all ages, intergenerational leadership, and engaging in her state and national political processes.
