Maureen Magak

Maureen Magak belongs to YWCA of Kenya where she has been a life member and volunteer in different programs. She also serves on the Executive Committee of her local branch and is currently pursuing a Bsc. in Medical Laboratory Sciences. Maureen is passionate about issues related to women’s leadership, health and rights. She believes that these three, practiced positively, are some of the main components towards the long sought after development, locally and internationally. She is also very passionate about gender issues. Maureen dreams of a world where young people rise up and take the lead on health and rights related issues to meet the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. She believes in the power of information and sharing; therefore, through the She Speaks Blog, a global platform of networking, she aims to add value, inspire and empower young people all over the world to speak for the change they want to see in the world.
